Last Wednesday, Nov. 8, the Roswell High School Student Council planned and presented an outstanding program to honor veterans in our community. From the patriot songs performed by the band, Cyettes, Roadrunners and Berrendo Middle School chorus, to the final moving “Taps,” the program was well done.
World War II veteran Lloyd Hughes shared his moving experiences to an attentive and respectful student body. The NMMI Honor Guard and Goss Silent Rifle were done with precision. There were posters depicting each war in which veterans have participated, letters written by students for each veteran and homemade cookies.
Thank you, RHS!
