Cheryl and I would like to thank and acknowledge the people and organizations who came to our aid when she was injured.
The firefighters and EMS personnel arrived promptly and treated her with respect, compassion and efficiency. They did everything they could to make her comfortable during evaluation and transfer to Lovelace Regional Hospital.
Their professionalism and understanding of her needs was apparent and greatly appreciated. Roswell is indeed fortunate to have these men and women.
When Cheryl was seen at Lovelace Regional Hospital ER, her excellent care continued and she was kept comfortable until admission for surgery. I would like to thank the emergency department physician and staff for their excellent care and efficiency.
Orthopedic surgeons Tres Latimar III MD and Dr. Zibin Zhao performed the surgery and were supported by the excellent OR staff, pre-op and post-op crews. The nurses, aides and PTs on the med/surg floor were wonderful, friendly and attended to her needs.
After her stay in the hospital, her healing continued at the New Mexico Rehab, where again the care was exemplary and recovery continued. Dr. Jane Gilbreth and staff made us feel at home. Physical and occupational therapy helped us adapt to the handicap of her injury and her transition to home went smoothly.
The outpouring of concern, prayers and many visits from our wonderful Roswell friends helped make us feel closer to normal and allowed Cheryl to recover. We have no family here, but our Roswell family and special friends were here for us and remind us of how blessed we are to be part of this community.
Thank you and God bless.
