Roswell police officers allege that a young man thought to be involved in a road rage incident ended up being arrested Monday on felony drug charges.
According to an incident report, Roswell police officers responded to a call Monday afternoon about someone in a car waving a bullet out the window. The report alleges that, when the driver, Pedro Alexandro Olivares-Puentes, 20, of Hagerman, stopped at a parking lot at Fifth and Main streets, he told police that he hadn’t waved a bullet but a marijuana cigarette at a girl who had blown him a kiss. Olivares-Puentes allegedly admitted to smoking a joint and drinking earlier in the day, and police reported smelling marijuana on his person and in the vehicle. After Olivares-Puentes and his mother allegedly had consented to a search of the car, police found open containers of alcohol, two loaded pistols, a jar of marijuana, a digital scale and baggies in a backpack that also contained documents with the name of the suspect on them, a report states.
According to the police report, while booking evidence, the police also found 321 Xanax pills, ledgers, a marijuana grinder and more than a $1,000 in cash. No bonds have been set yet in the case.
