Mayor Dennis Kintigh, Roswell-Chaves County Economic Development Corp. President John Mulcahy and some local business people took a tour of the project Friday morning to view progress of phase one, which includes 144 units and a club house with a pool and spa. Leprino Foods Plant Manager Pete Mayadag was among those with an interest in the project because the apartments are expected to provide housing for some of its employees.
Kelly Prior of Shelton-Cook Real Estate Services will be the on-site property manager and said base rents, without utilities, will range from $910 to $1,210 a month for the one- to three-bedroom units. The project, funded in part by U.S. Housing and Urban Development financing, is expected to include two phases and 256 units.
