On January 6, 1955, Vincent was born in Opelousas, Louisiana to the late Mr. Constant Vincent LaHaye Jr. and Audrey M. LaHaye. He was raised in the Catholic faith. He graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology. Vincent then pursued employment in Exploration Geology and Environmental Science for many years. In 1991, he moved to New Mexico.
An avid outdoorsman, he loved cooking, camping, boating, scuba diving, hunting and fishing. For over 10 years, he was a supporter of his son’s Boy Scout Troop. Vincent was a great baseball coach too in his early years. He loved westerns, especially the ones of John Wayne. Vincent was a collector of many things, a few were arrowheads, butterflies and rocks. He wanted to be a knife maker and gunsmith like his father. Vincent loved spending time with his family; he loved them more than anything else. Vincent enjoyed life to the fullest. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Left to cherish Vincent’s memory are his loving wife of 35 years, Kathryn, and son, Christopher W. LaHaye of Roswell; brother, Michael LaHaye and wife, Betty of Louisiana; sisters: Rachel Pool and husband, Bill of Louisiana, Harriet Hebert of Louisiana; and numerous nephews and nieces.
