Camp Invention is a STEM camp that uses hands-on challenges to stimulate creative problem solving, teamwork, entrepreneurship and innovation.
The camp was held from June 5-9 and it was the biggest group of campers seen in Roswell, with 120 kids attending, according to Director Peggy Bohlin.
“(Camp Invention) is what school should be,” Bohlin said. “Fun learning.”
Beck, an incoming third grader, created her alarm box by taking apart pieces of electronics. A sensor goes off when the box is open, which triggers the alarm.
Bohlin said she is already making plans for next year’s camp.
