Five vehicles engulfed in flames Monday morning

Police were dispatched to South Forest Drive at 4:06 a.m. Monday in reference to a vehicle on fire. Five vehicles were burned, including a 2015 Honda Civic. Total damages were estimated at $21,500

Arrests and arrest citations
Valentin Alvarado, 52, was charged with possession of controlled substances at the corner of Stanton Avenue and East Chisum Street at 1:26 a.m. Monday.

Burglary forced entry
Police were dispatched to the 3100 block of North Main Street at 9:35 a.m. Monday in reference to a burglary. One hundred dollars in cash, along with nail and spa tools valued at $2,000 were reported stolen.

Criminal damages
Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of West Hendricks at 8:28 a.m. Monday in reference to a criminal damage call. A 2013 Dodge’s windows and mirrors were damaged with an estimated value of $2,300.
Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of East 19th Street at 12:30 p.m. Monday in reference to a criminal damage call. A 2008 Dodge Charger was reported damaged with an estimated value of $1,500.

Larceny
Police were dispatched to the 400 block of East Bland Street at 3:49 p.m. in reference to a larceny. Two hundred dollars in cash was reported stolen.
