Simpson Newman IV, 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 3, 2017, in Roswell, NM. Graveside service will be at South Park Cemetery on Monday, July 10, 2017, at 10 a.m. A tribute of Simpson’s life may be found at andersonbethany.com where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family.
On April 18, 1922, Simpson was born to Simpson Newman III and Anna C. Procher Newman in Roswell, NM. After graduating from high school, Simpson continued his education at Denver University and received a master’s degree in accounting. Simpson enrolled in the U.S. Army and was proud to serve his country. Simpson worked as an office manager for Davy McKee Mining, working in different locations in the United States and in Chile. Simpson had an abiding interest in genealogy and traveling. The memory of Simpson will live on in the family he has left behind.
Surviving to cherish Simpson’s memory are his loving nieces: Joanna K. Herr of Albuquerque, NM, Susan D. McClure of Roswell, NM, Krista E. Herr of Aloha, OR; and precious black and white cat, Baby.
Preceding Simpson in death are his parents: Simpson Newman III and Anna C. Procher Newman; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Newman II; sister, Margaret A. McDaniels; and his beloved white cat, Kitty.
