Leadership Roswell accepting applications for 35th class

Leadership Roswell is now accepting applications for its 35th class.

Leadership Roswell is a Roswell Chamber of Commerce program. The program is designed to take current and future leaders to develop and equip them to be more effective leaders. The program can take up to 30 students. There is an application process, a selection process and a tuition for students who are selected (partial scholarships are available through the Leadership Roswell Alumni Association). The class begins in September with a welcome reception and ends in May with a graduation ceremony. The Leadership Roswell has graduated 864 students since its inception in 1983.
Leadership Roswell meets one Friday a month for nine months with exception for the Santa Fe class trip and class at FLETC. The class holds a Christmas party, a class project and will plan its graduation ceremony.

The following are examples of places Leadership Roswell has toured: NMMI, NM Supreme Court Building, a dairy, Roswell FAA Tower, ENMMC, County Administrative Office Building, Roundhouse in Santa Fe, Baldwin Paint, Leprino Foods, ENMU-R, Roswell Police Department, Christmas by Krebs, AAR, Rowell Livestock Auction, CASE, Grace Corn Heritage House, Governor’s Mansion, Sheriff’s Department, Mystic, and Double Eagle Ranch (Mine That Bird).
Leadership training covers topics such as goal setting, attitude, communication, organization, leading with passion, the importance of growth, dealing with stress, momentum and overcoming failure.
