Savannah “Vanna” Lynn Castaneda left us unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at the age of 32. A viewing will be held at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home, on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rosary will follow viewing at 7 p.m. Vanna will be taken for a ride, anyone that would like to join us can meet us at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at South Park Cemetery. The daughter of Rito Castaneda and Theresa Rodriguez, Savannah was born on June 30, 1985, in Roswell, NM. There was only one Vanna, a left-handed country girl with a big heart and the attitude to match it. When Vanna spoke, she made sure you heard her. A personality that all depended on, she will be unforgettable to everyone that met her.
Vanna leaves behind the love of her life, Jaime Marin; three sons: Anthony, Meto, Xavier; daughter, Marina; parents: Rito Castaneda and Theresa Rodriguez; sister, Crystal and boyfriend, J; nephews: Eric, Joseph, JJ, Andrew, Angelo, Leland, William; nieces: Eleisea, Bella, and Iris; grandparents: Gabriela and Rey; uncles: Basilio Jr, Ben, Alfonso, Eddy, Carmello, Mike, Eppy, Steve, Hachie, Eugene; aunts: Mary, Sara, Anna, Mary Lou, Lollie, Nancy, Patty, Susan, Suzy, Patricia, Sulema, Dara, Erica; in-laws: Delia Marin and Jaime Marin, Louie, Veto, Adrian, Desiree, Angie, Megan and their children.
Preceding Savannah in death are her grandfathers: Eugene and Basilio, grandmother, Nancy; brother-in-law, Angel; uncle, Jeff; and cousin, Adriane “Shorty” Martinez.
Those chosen as honorary pallbearers are: all of her cousins.
Pallbearers are: Crystal and Jay, Stephanie and Jon, Amanda and Joe Ray, Gina and Andy, Melissa and Missy, Amy, Claudia, Sulema, Matt, Eric and her best friend, Yvonne Savedra.
A Special Thanks to the Herrera family, hoo-raw family, primos, Melendez Builders, Mama D and Z, boss man and everyone that made donations. We appreciate it, from the bottom of our hearts. A Big Thank You to her other mothers: Tammi and Dallas for always being there for her.
Much Love and Respect! Never go to bed mad and always say goodbye. Now it’s time to let Vanna rest.
