Miriah Marie Mullen passed away on June 29, 2017 in Odessa, Texas surrounded by her immediate family. Miriah was born July 18, 1996 in Clovis, New Mexico. She earned her high school diploma at the Roswell Job Corps Center in 2013 where she also completed the Culinary Arts Program. Miriah enjoyed spending time with friends and family, loved to travel, and was an advocate for all animals. She enjoyed cooking and one her favorite places to spend time with her father was in the kitchen preparing meals for the family. She loved making memories with her grandparents, siblings, and cousins on family vacations. She loved all the different places she got to see while on vacation and had a particular fondness for the Arches National Park in Moab, Utah. She got along with animals and she frequently visited the Humane Society to give attention to un-adopted cats and dogs. She loved movies and music. It wasn’t unusual for her to spend an entire day with her siblings watching their favorite movies or playing video games together. She enjoyed all types of music and if music wasn’t playing, she was singing or humming a song. She applied song lyrics to whatever was going on in her life at the time and had a way of incorporating movie quotes into everyday conversation. Miriah was a free-spirit. She was beautiful inside and out. She had a charm that was magnetic and mysterious. She had a big heart and an eloquent way with words. To say she “lit up a room” with her presence is an understatement. She ignited a room. Miriah is preceded in death by her “Pampa” David Rice, as well as her great-grandmother Mary Gomez. She is survived by her father Jonathon Gomez and stepmother Miranda; sister Elizabeth Gomez brother Bradley Eichmeier; stepbrothers Caleb Symonds and Cameron Symonds; grandparents Jesse and Barbara Gomez, Larry and Susan Bray; uncles Joshua Rice, Eric Gomez, and Jesse Gomez; great-grandfather Joe Gomez; great-grandmother Amelia (Mita) Martinez; aunts Katie Mullen and Cindy Mullen; cousins Caleb Gomez and Julian Gomez and numerous other cousins and special friends. Although Miriah’s time on Earth was short, her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and outgoing personality will be alive forever in the hearts of those who loved her. A private memorial service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter in Miriah’s memory.
