Fifteen-year-old boy’s injuries considered non-lethal

A 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the neck was taken to a hospital early Friday with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police received a call about the shooting before 1 a.m. Friday from a caller from the 1400 block of West Hendricks Avenue, said Todd Wildermuth, public information officer for the Roswell Police Department.

The circumstances of the shooting remain unknown, including if another person was involved. Police said there are no further developments expected due to the 15-year-old being uncooperative. Wildermuth said the shooting victim did not want to pursue any charges.

Wildermuth said while the exact location of the shooting has not been determined by police, officers found the 15-year-old-boy outside a home in the 500 block of South Mississippi Avenue.
