Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell will hold a graduation ceremony next week for 44 students with disabilities receiving certificates of training.

The 31st annual graduation event for the Special Services Certificates of Training Program will occur Thursday, July 27, at 2 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center on the campus.
Students will receive certificates in a variety of program areas such as food services, child care attendant, office skills, animal health care, stocking and merchandising, and veterinary assistant.
The commencement speaker will be Sam White, director of technology information and marketing for Fibertown Data Centers and project manager for the Product Development Center of the Texas A & M Engineering Extension Service.

Two graduates, Holly Wampler and Miranda Scheidt, and the parent of a graduate, Yvette Werner, also will speak.
The Special Services Certificate of Training Program is designed for students who have disabilities, but who can obtain employment in competitive environments given the appropriate training. The mission of the Special Services department is to assist with the integration of students with disabilities into the university community and to accommodate those students with the appropriate services necessary to allow full participation in all programs. Graduates leave the program with verification of training (COT), certifications, valuable life experiences and positive personal growth.
