Ramon “Javier” Solis, 68, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017, at home in Roswell, New Mexico. Viewing will be Tuesday, July 25, 2017, from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. with a Prayer Service following from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of his life will be at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow service at South Park Cemetery. On June 10, 1949, Ramon “Javier” was born to Manuel Solis and Paula Baeza Solis in Van Horn, Texas. Javier attended school in Van Horn, Texas. He married Roberta “Bobbie” Solis on December 27, 1969 in Roswell, NM. Javier worked and later retired as carpet installer. He enjoyed fishing, music, going to the casino, cooking and camping. A compassionate man, Javier would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, good friend and an awesome brother-in-law. Javier was very friendly and loved talking to everyone he met.
Javier is survived by his wife, Roberta “Bobbie” Solis; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Preceding Javier in death are his son, Ramon Robert Solis, State Police Officer; parents: Manuel Solis and Paula Solis; and brother, Poly Solis.
Pallbearers: Angel Carmona, Pete Solis, Celedino Solis, Cande Candelario Solis, Jesus Solis and Epi Flores.
