CVEC names room after former official

Jack Case and wife, Doris, stand in front of the newly christened Jack Case Community Room of the Central Valley Electric Cooperative offices in Artesia. On Wednesday afternoon, the organization named the meeting and dining area in honor of their former Board of Trustees president and member. Case served for 39 years before his recent retirement. He also received a plaque in recognition of his work with the group. "I didn't expect all this," he said. "I knew they were going to have a get-together, but I didn't expect all this." CVEC General Manager Chuck Pinson said he appreciated many aspects of Case's leadership, including his concern about the cooperative's employees.
