Police assist in case of burning house

The following reports are from the Roswell Police Department and are available at rpdp2c.org. All people arrested or cited are presumed innocent.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of East Sixth Street at 8:46 p.m. Saturday in reference to an agency assist. A house valued at $29,000 was reported burned.

Arrests and arrest citations
Mary Jane Martinez, 37, was charged with possession of marijuana at the 400 block of West Sixth Street at 12:21 p.m. Monday.
Victoria Ward, 22, was charged with possession of marijuana at the 1400 block of Sunset Place at 12:07 a.m. Saturday.
Angela M. Gamboa, 48, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at the 700 block of East Bland Street at 10:13 p.m. Saturday.
Andrea Lea Pope, 42, was charged with possession of prohibited controlled substances at the corner of North Washington Avenue and West College Boulevard at 7:51 p.m. Sunday.
Paul Vasquez, 50, was charged with a violation of probation and contempt of court at the 100 block of West Second Street at 8:54 a.m. Monday.
Johnny Ray Vick Jr., 32, was charged with driving under the influence at the 2500 block of Cortez Court at 10:34 p.m. Monday.
Luis D. Quintana, 19, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxication liquor or drugs at the 1500 block of South Kansas Avenue at 9:23 p.m. Monday. Quintana was also charged with eluding or attempting to elude an officer at the corner of South Union Avenue and West Buena Vista Street at 4:04 a.m. Tuesday.
Julio Cesar Ayala-Aguirre, 19, was charged at the 100 block of Ballard Street at 6:47 a.m. Tuesday.
Quanah S. Lopez, 24, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at the 300 block of East Summit Street at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.
Marcus Craig Otero, 30, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxication liquor or drugs at the 800 block of Conchas Place at 12:46 a.m. Tuesday.

Burglary
Police were dispatched to the 3100 block of Vassar Drive at 4:37 p.m. Monday in reference to a burglary. A custom toolbox with tools and lawnmower with a total estimated value of $250 were reported stolen.

Criminal damages
Police were dispatched to the 600 block of West Frazier Street at 7:42 p.m. Sunday in reference to a criminal damage. A window valued at $500 was reported damaged.
Police were dispatched to the 800 block of West Ninth Street at 3:24 p.m. Monday in reference to a criminal damage. Damages to a shed, backdoor, picnic table and grill were valued at $650.

Larceny
Police were dispatched to the 600 block of South Sycamore Avenue at 10:43 a.m. Monday in reference to a missing backpack. The backpack, a $500 cellphone, clothing, school supplies and $4 in cash, estimating a total value of $588.99, were reported stolen.
