Show respect to American soldiers

Three or four months ago, I made the decision that I was going to discontinue watching the national news. I was tired of hearing the doom and gloom that President Donald Trump was doing to our country.

The protesters and hate groups were all over the place. It seemed to me that there was not a day that the RDR did not have some article pertaining to problems that had happened in this great country of ours. Do not know how many presidents have served in the past, that have been drug through the wringer as this one has, at this point in time, with the turmoil in the United States Congress.
And I do believe that that is where the problem lies. The Republican/Democrat parties are just as much at fault as anyone. I believe that the politicians cannot believe that a nonpolitician can be elected to the POTUS. Both parties are nothing but a joke, our representatives do not do our work. How many times have I heard, “they voted along party lines,” the only time that they vote together is to give themselves additional money.

In fact, there is an aisle between the two parties, why not commingle to be able to discuss their differences? I do believe that term limits are the answer.
Recently, Michael Bennett of the Seattle Seahawks sat out when they were playing the national anthem. This is a person that is making millions playing a “game.” His claim is, it’s his right as an American. Buster, the American soldier/veteran gave you the right, show your respect to the soldiers/veterans and the flag. If you are so disgusted with our country, do not let the door hit you in the (backside).
“A veteran/soldier is someone who, at one point in their lives, wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America for any amount up to and including their life.”
I am a veteran of the United States armed forces, are you?
