James F. Weiss passed into the arms of the Lord at his home in Rutledge, Tennessee, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. He will be laid to rest at South Park Cemetery, September 8, 2017, at 10 a.m. A tribute of James’ life may be found at andersonbethany.com where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family.
On June 25, 1963, James was born to Clementine Fugiero-Weiss and James F. Weiss Sr. in Bridgeport, CT. He was a former resident of Roswell, NM, and a longtime resident of Eastern Tennessee. James joined the U.S. Navy in February 1981, and served aboard the USS Constellation (CV-64). Having the ocean in his blood, James loved fishing, boating, living close to the water and was a happy soul. Many will remember James for his funny sense of humor, his outrageous antics and sweet laugh.
Remaining on this earth are his sister, Angel Mayes (Weiss-Stiggins) and husband, Donald W. Mayes of Roswell; Christie Weiss, Heather Weiss, Kara Weiss, Danica Weiss, Tyler Weiss, of Eastern Tennessee; and many cousins living on the East Coast.
Preceding James in death were his mother, Clementine Fugiero-Weiss; father, James F. Weiss; and brave nephew, KIA PFC, Antonio G. Stiggins.
