Michael Ryan Torrez, 20, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017, in Roswell, NM. Viewing will be at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home on Friday, September 15, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On November 23, 1996, Michael was born to Randy Torrez and Laura Hernandez in Roswell, NM. Michael was a kind, most generous and understanding person. Anyone who ever met Michael could see his free spirit and felt the love he had to give others. He was a hard worker and devoted son, grandson and friend.
Those left to cherish Michael’s memory are Randy Torrez and Denise Valadez, Laura Hernandez and Rick Medrano; grandparents: Daniel and Eloytta Hernandez of Carlsbad, NM, Albert and Agnes Torrez of Roswell, NM; brothers: Noah Torrez and girlfriend, Ashley Vasquez, Randy “Suki” Torrez; step-sisters: Adrianna Valadez, Alexis Vasquez; aunts and uncles: Eli and Emolene Aguilar of Roswell, NM, Dale and Alicia Torrez of Roswell, NM, Will and Diana Carr of Richland, WA, Monica Hernandez of Alamogordo, NM, Daniel Hernandez of Carlsbad, NM; cousin, Peaches Aguilar who held a very special place in Mikey’s heart; girlfriend, Lynda Carol Victoria, “I sure am going to miss you, my Love;” and gentle, loving, giant protector and companion, Apollo.
Preceding Michael in death was his brother, Steven Lee Peck.
Those chosen as honorary pallbearers are: Adrian Galindo, James Sisneros, Jordan Amador, Nick Romero, Eric Merryfield, Anthony Torrez and all his riding buddies.
Pallbearers are: Noah Torrez, Suki Torrez, Eli Aguilar, Dominic Torrez, Ricky Velosco, Dean McDaniel and Dallas McDaniel.
A special thank you to Saul Aguilar, not only was he Mickey’s boss, but he was also a very special friend.
A reception will be held at the American Legion on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
