The Farmers’ Market has been moved today to Cahoon Park to accommodate the Piñatafest downtown at the Chaves County Courthouse.

The Farmers’ Market will be accessible from North Union Avenue as the street work continues there. North Union Avenue will have one lane open in each direction to provide access to the Farmers’ Market.

The same situation will apply Sept. 23, when the Farmers’ Market will again be at Cahoon Park while the Chile Cheese Festival takes place at the courthouse.
Meanwhile, Main Street and some side streets downtown were closed Friday for the weekend for Piñatafest events. Traffic detours were put in place.
