Regina Dolores Moore went to be with the Lord at 11:19 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the age of 99½. A tribute of Regina’s life may be found at andersonbethany.com where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family.
On February 1, 1918, Regina was born to Alvin Lee and Emily Ellen Hess-Souders in a farmhouse in Cowgill, Missouri. She attended school in Trenton, Missouri, and graduated in 1936. Regina enjoyed being in the Drum & Bugle Corps and playing a ukulele. Even in her elder years, she would tap on the kitchen table from time to time, pretending it was a drum, which always put a smile on all our faces. She still had rhythm!
Regina was an excellent seamstress and loved to play cards, especially bridge. She was actively playing bridge up to a few months before she passed. She is loved and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons: Suzanne Reed and Lana Moyer of Hobbs, NM, Jan Moyer of Driggs, ID, Steven Moyer of Casper, WY, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial to celebrate Regina’s long life will be Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Taylor Memorial Church, 1700 E. Yeso Drive, Hobbs, NM 88240.
This tribute was lovingly written in honor of Regina by her family.
