Roswell Refuge gets a little TLC

The Roswell Refuge got a little tender loving care Saturday morning when members of the Roswell Women's Club donated their time, labor and supplies to renovate one of the shelter's rooms. They applied fresh paint and donated new bed linens, towels, pillows and other items for the room. They also donated a TV, which will be used somewhere in the shelter. The organization, the longest established chapter in New Mexico at 122 years old and an affiliate of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, regularly donates to the refuge, an organization providing assistance and shelter to those recovering from abuse or sexual assault.
