Mildred Russell Swenson passed away peacefully in her sleep Sept. 18, 2017, at 6 a.m. New Mexico time, in Plainfield, IN. Born in Chicago, Illinois on February 6, 1914, she was a longtime resident of Roswell and moved to the Plainfield area earlier this year to be closer to her daughter and her family.
She was preceded in her death by her mother andfather, Arthur and AmeliaRussell, her husband HarrisGordon Swenson and her brother William Henry Russell.
She leaves behind Janet and Tony Meyer, her daughter and son-in-law, George R. and Patty Swenson, her son and daughter-in-law, her grandchildren, Leonard Meyer, Laura and Eric Voight, and Larry Meyer. Christopher Russell Swenson, Robert Louis Swenson and their wives Christal and Kathie. Great-grandchildren, David and Sam Voight and Brady Russell Swenson.
She will always be remembered for her kind and loving personality and her love of dogs, children and dancing.
As it was her wish, she will be cremated and no services are pending at this time. In lieu of cards or flowers, a gift to your local animal shelter would be her wish. She will be missed by all the lives she touched.
