Investigators work to gather info, identify suspect in possible murder

A man found dead in his family’s home in west-central Roswell Friday night has led to authorities to conduct a murder investigation.

At 9:45 p.m. Friday, the Roswell Police Department was called to a home located at the 1000 block of West Deming Street. According to a news release by RPD public information officer Todd Wildermuth, 26-year-old Jared Analla was found dead in his family’s home.

“Members of Jared Analla’s family reported they had been away from the house they shared with him before returning home to find Analla deceased,” Wildermuth said. “Based on the examination of the scene, investigators believe Analla was murdered.”

Wildermuth said at this point of the investigation, information regarding the cause of death is not being released, though investigators are tracking down information as a means to identify a suspect.

“As is standard procedure in any RPD murder investigation, an autopsy will be performed,” he said. “Anyone with potential information about this case is asked to call the Roswell Police Department (at) 575-624-6770.
