Woman hit by vehicle in store parking lot

Around 2:50 p.m., the Roswell Police Department and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to 4500 N. Main St. in reference to a woman who had been hit by a vehicle in Wal-Mart’s parking lot. The dispatcher advised the injured woman was having difficulty breathing. As first responders made contact with the woman and store management, she was examined by EMS personnel from the backseat of a vehicle and later taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Police said, based off indications, the injuries sustained from the incident were not too serious, adding that the initial first responders on the scene called for medics to reduce their response from “emergency” to “non-emergency.” (Trevier Gonzalez Photo)
