Jerry France, 78, left this world for another on the morning of September 27, 2017. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, October 1, 2017, at 11 a.m., at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 3201 S. Born in San Angelo, TX on Christmas Eve, 1938, Jerry’s parents are Jerome and Jeffie France, who preceded him in death, as did one sister, Barbara (Bobbie) Gruntorad. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda; four daughters: Michele Battin (Terry), Terri Nelson, Rhonda Sanchez (Norbert) and Pat France; as well as two sisters: Shirley Blakeney and Verna Blankenship (Paul); numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Jerry had several occupations in his life. At a young age, he worked for the Railroad, ranching, oil field painting and lastly, his favorite, buying real estate properties to remodel and sell. He loved working in his yard and was very proud of it. Jerry was very dedicated to the pets that were a big part of his life. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #2152 and of Fraternal Order of Eagles #3187.
In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to the Roswell Humane Society.
