Ministry helps support children

I am writing this letter to express our deepest appreciation to those who blessed the young people of Assurance Home through the Dare 2 Share activities on Sept. 23.

Dare 2 Share is a Christian ministry that helps engage and motivate teenagers to become involved in their faith through action. Dare 2 Share is a national nonprofit organization and was sponsored in Roswell by the First Baptist Church with the help of quite a few other youth groups from different churches.

This year, they chose to gather food and other helpful items to help benefit the homeless and at-risk adolescent children who live at Assurance Home. We feel so fortunate that these caring teens were able to give us a large number of boxes that contained donated food items, clothing, shoes, blankets and a $20 bill.

We are so grateful that these young people felt our home was worthy of their support. It is especially touching when young people reach out to help other young people.

Please know that we could not provide for our children without the help of loving people like those involved with Dare 2 Share.
