South Park Cemetery, 3101 S. Main St., will be closed Saturday and Sunday so road work can be done, the city of Roswell announced this week.

“The City of Roswell apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks the public for its patience as the city improves the roads in the cemetery,” a city news release indicated.

  • A $150,000 state grant has been awarded for Phase II of the road improvement project at the cemetery, according to City Engineer Louis Najar. The work involves microsurfacing roads, including the main road that runs from the east to west gates and the road on the south side of the cemetery.
