The northbound lanes on Atkinson were temporarily closed by the Roswell Police Department as firefighters extinguished flames emitting from a white truck near Spring River RV Park.

The owner of the vehicle said he was driving his vehicle until another driver flagged him down and urged him to get out of his vehicle. The owner said after he got out, he was shocked with what he saw.

After the flames was contained by firefighters, the driver gestured to a hanging fuel line at the bottom of his truck. He said the fire was coming from the fuel that was dripping and onto the vehicle.

According to the RFD’s public information officer, Todd Wildermuth, the fire did not threaten any other vehicles or structures.
