On May 24, 1954, Pete was born to Edward Armand Hebert and Idella Norine Hebert in Las Cruces, NM. He grew up in Roswell, New Mexico. Pete graduated from Roswell High School in 1973, and went on to attend the New Mexico Military Institute’s Junior College. After working in the oil fields, Pete married the love of his life, Debra Peterson. Together, Pete and Debra purchased Demaree’s Pumping Service in 1983. He was the proud owner of Demaree’s up until his untimely death. Pete was an active leader and member of Grace Community Church. He also served as a Gideon for the area and loved volunteering his time to the organization. Pete also donated immensely to Harvest Ministries. Pete loved spreading the word of the Lord and was always happy to have a listening ear. He loved to go hunting and looked forward to spending each year’s hunt with his beloved brother, Paul. If Pete wasn’t in his truck working or at the Church supporting his Church family, he could be found visiting with family and friends. Pete’s generous heart and positive outlook on life were infectious and truly inspirational to all who were lucky enough to know him.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Debra Hebert.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Hebert (Kristin); brothers: Tom Hebert (Betty), Paul Hebert (Melodie); sisters: Trudy Hebert, Lisa Woods (Ken); grandchildren: Lily, Remy Hebert; brother-in-law, Dusty Peterson (Pam); nieces and nephews: Serenity Gomez (Jason), Christy Soto, Ryan Hebert, Theresa Montoya, Destiny Herron (Joseph), Daniel Soto, Marissa Soto, Nicole Bridges (Justin), Logan Hebert, Dustin Peterson (Emily), Tyler Peterson; countless brothers and sisters in Christ; and friends that he dearly loved.
Memorial contributions may be made in Peter’s memory to Grace Community Church or Gideon’s International gideons.org.
This tribute was lovingly written in honor of Pete by his family.
