The U.S. Government classes of Coach Marco Franco and the honors world history and world history classes of Travis Ackerman at Roswell High School have many cans and dried goods ready for Harvest Ministries.

“I have been running this project each semester for the last five years,” Franco said. The young students have been donating to Harvest Ministries, the Assurance Home and Rivers of Life.

The four seniors representing their classmates on Friday saw the need in the community and jumped at the opportunity to help.

“I know many who are needy. A lot of my neighbors and people I see every day,” Christian Sanchez said. Sanchez is planning to become a nurse after graduating from Roswell High.

Fellow student Eddie Macias plans to get a degree in business management; Fermin Portillo’s goals are for a business degree and to get a welding certificate.
