A challenge for the senses

The Cowboy Candles booth was a hotspot for the senses during the Christmas Fantasy Arts & Crafts Fair on Black Friday. To choose between all the different handmade candles — each with its own scent — is a challenge. Other booths enticed with handmade clothes, recycled silverware that softly chimed, soaps, Christmas decoration, metal art and crocheted bonnets. The traditional silent auction is benefiting this year Camp Invention. Camp Invention is a weeklong summer program that provides children hands-on opportunities to explore, create and invent to prepare them to change the world. It is a program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring, challenging and inspiring innovation. The fair continues today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Roswell Convention & Civic Center. (Christina Stock Photo)
