Questions about city councilor’s move

Have I missed an announcement from Councilor Jason Perry?

He moved out of his district some time ago, so he is no longer eligible to serve on the City Council representing Ward 4. Yet I have not seen or heard anything in media about his resignation or how his seat will be filled. It brings into question whether anything the Council has done since Mr. Perry moved is legal. It also brings into question why there has been no public announcement and why there has been no resignation.

I wonder where this issue stands. Are the residents of Ward 4 aware of the situation? Who is representing Ward 4? Who will finish Mr. Perry’s term until a new councilor can be elected? Is the process of filling this position going to be handled publicly? If a councilor is serving illegally, are Council actions legal? So many questions, so few answers.
