Roswell accountant receives community service award

ALBUQUERQUE — The New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants has awarded Roswell accountant Francisco A. Olvera its 2017 Outstanding Member for Community Service Award.

The award is given to a member who is distinguished by an outstanding commitment to community service.

Olvera was presented the award at the 23rd annual Pride in the Profession awards luncheon Nov. 2 in Albuquerque. The annual luncheon has become the highlight of the NMSCPA’s yearly activities and brings in attendees from all over the state.

Olvera works at Ritter & Company in Roswell as a managing partner. The locally owned firm has a small satellite office in Artesia.

Olvera is also the treasurer of Roswell Rotary Club and has worked with several other charitable organizations, such as the Chaves County Community Foundation, the Conquistador Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Independent Petroleum Association of New Mexico, All Saints Catholic School, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
