In response to the article “ENMU proposes three system positions” on Nov. 15, 2017, I would say for the last nine years ENMU-Roswell has improved in many positive ways and does not need to be governed from a distance with the proposed three (administrative) system positions.

ENMU-Roswell has increased graduates to record levels and had an enrollment increase of 29 percent in first-time, full-time freshmen this semester. ENMU-Roswell is currently debt-free and reduced spending by 16 percent between fiscal year 07 and FY16. This has all been accomplished without representation of a Roswell regent on the board since the death of Brett Leach in April 2015.

I would like to applaud the hard work of the faculty, staff and administration of ENMU-Roswell.
