A video surfacing on social media displaying a Goddard High School student firing an airsoft BB gun into the air has caught the attention of the Roswell Police Department and the Roswell Independent School District.

The RPD addressed the video Wednesday afternoon, calling the incident a “foolish action” that took place during class.

Despite the questionable actions of the male high school student, the RPD said school officials reported no one was endangered, and the incident was quickly brought to their attention.

“The gun was confirmed to be an airsoft gun,” the RPD said in a Facebook post. “Disciplinary action is being taken by the school against the student.”

Roswell police said parents of GHS students received an automated phone call Wednesday afternoon, informing them of the incident.
