The public is invited to stroll at Sugarite Canyon State Park by the light of 1,500 luminarias and to enjoy the holiday spirit. Christmas carols will be sung, there will be cookies and Santa will be there. For more information, contact the park staff at 575-445-5607.

“Night of the Father’s Love”

The Christmas cantata by Pepper Choplin is performed by the Corona and Carrizozo Community Choirs at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1001 Avenue D, at 3 p.m. “Night of the Father’s Love” provides heart-warming music and an inspirational narration with rich melodies and harmonies. The score focuses on the birth of Christ, weaving a variety of large choral works and one vocal solo amid the narration of the timeless Christmas story. Accompanists include Cheryl Smith of Carrizozo, Becky Koll and Bill Hignight of Corona. The concert is free of charge.
