The event that worked to raise funds for local homeless shelters ran from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday.

“I’m definitely excited about the way the community came together, and how a quick idea snowballed into an outreach that the community wanted to answer,” said Roswell Homeless Coalition board member Jeneva Martinez.

“Every dollar raised is going to be kept in our community and going to open the doors to the Rivers of Life shelters, the first one being the women and children’s shelter, and then the second one being the men’s shelter.”
