On Nov. 11, the Military Science Department of New Mexico Military Institute held the third annual B.R.A.V.E. Bringing Remembrance to All Veteran’s Everywhere 5K Run. There were approximately 200 registered runners, with the youngest being 4 and the oldest being 76 years old. The first-place female runner was Kristen Good with a time of 21:34, first-place male was Jason Peters with a time of 16:33. This year the charity selected to receive a portion of the proceeds was Homes for Heroes of Chaves County. The $2,017 received will be used to provide home needs for veterans and first responders.
