Lavida Kinnear, 80, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017. Viewing will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Friday, December 29, 2017, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Community Church on Saturday, December 30, 2017, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On August 31, 1937, Lavida was born to Isom F. Collier and Lena Gregory Collier in Meadow, TX. Lavida was one of thirteen siblings. In 1939, she moved to Lovington, NM. Later, she moved to Colorado and worked tirelessly as a very social waitress. After that, Lavida worked as a housekeeper, where she met the love of her life, Wayne Kinnear. They spent many hours laughing, gardening and watching their favorite soap operas. Lavida was a kind, loving, superior decorator, gardener and shopper. She possessed a spirited sense of humor and would act funny and little crazy at times. Family and friends will greatly miss Lavida and will forever cherish the memories they made with her.
Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Lavida are her daughters: Diana Crow of Golden, CO, LaDonna (Tutter) Weise and husband, Marvin Jr. of Roswell, NM, Deborah McLaughlin and husband, Gilbert of Cayman, IL; son, Tim Kinnear and wife, Judy of Royce City, TX, Kevin Kinnear and wife, Grace of Arlington, TX; grandchildren: Jamie Crow, Anage Smith, Desiree Crow, Miranda Crow, Billy Crow, Brittany Martin, Cody Lepp, Chris Barrick, Teisha Neumann; and numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Preceding Lavida in death were her husband, Wayne E. Kinnear; parents: Isom Collier and Lena Gregory; children: Randall Joe Crow, Londa Lynn Crow, Missy La Wayne Kinnear; grandson, Robert Randall Crow; brothers: Joe and Jake Collier; sisters: Lillian Hall, Nora Tottis Visision, Jackie Church, Ruby Rogers, Frances Frankie Kizziah, Bobbie Lavash, Maxine Raburn and Shirley Garcia.
Pallbearers are: Jamie Crow, Christopher Barrick, Chet Neumann, Gary Smith, Chris Martin, Cody Lepp and Johnny Hooper.
Lavida’s family lovingly wrote this tribute in her honor.
