Warrants catch up with suspect

A Roswell man wanted for numerous warrants was arrested by Roswell police officers Friday afternoon, according to a department spokesperson.

Todd Wildermuth said the call came in around 2:35 p.m. as Sirron Johnson was spotted in the area of East Country Club Road and North Grand Avenue.

Wildermuth said the officer knew of Johnson’s warrants and approached him. That’s when the suspect allegedly took off running and was later apprehended in the 2300 block of Salee Loop.

Johnson was arrested around 3 p.m. according to Wildermuth.

Wildermuth said Johnson was wanted for 16 warrants, 14 of those were for failure to appear, the others were for failure to pay fines and shoplifting.
