A man and two women have been arrested and are facing multiple charges related to a Saturday afternoon armed larceny attempt, according to the Roswell Police Department.

Police spokesman Todd Wildermuth said that the suspects had not been identified for public release by early Saturday evening, but that some or all of the three will be charged for crimes related to weapons possession, criminal damage and attempted auto larceny.

He said police were called at about 12:30 p.m. regarding an incident in the 700 block of East Deming Street.

A neighbor had called a property owner on Deming Street to notify him that three people appeared to be removing auto parts from cars on the man’s property and that the male suspect in the group also seemed to be brandishing a gun.

The property owner called police and then arrived on the scene, carrying his own gun. The property owner confronted the alleged thief, who then lowered his weapon, Wildermuth said.

Police discovered that the male suspect also had a second gun on him and that one of the women had a gun. The second woman was in possession of a knife, according to Wildermuth.
