Women’s event planned Thursday

WESST, a statewide consulting group with an office in Roswell, will hold a dinner Thursday with four local women business and civic leaders scheduled to talk about their achievements and journeys.

Speakers are expected to be Dorothy Hellums, a former Chaves County Commissioner and the current chair of the city of Roswell’s Community Health Care Solutions Committee; Judy Gillies, a former command sergeant major with the U.S. Army; Dawn Wulf, a nurse practitioner with Eastern New Mexico Medical Center; and artist and potter Geneva Bailey.

The event, which is asking for donations of gloves and socks for the Roswell Homeless Coalition, will occur from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the MECA Therapies office, 1415 W. Second St. Registration by today is requested by calling 624-9580.
