The Roswell Police Department has identified the victim of a drive-by shooting Wednesday night in southwest Roswell as 33-year-old Tess Jauregui.

According to a news release by the RPD’s public information officer, Todd Wildermuth, the shooting that occurred at Sunrise Mobile Home Park at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of West Hobbs Street left Jauregui, a local Roswell woman, dead inside her home.

Wildermuth said investigators are trying to identify a potential suspect or suspects in the incident and are asking the public for any information related to the shooting.

“Multiple gunshots were fired during the incident, and the shots struck two mobile homes,” Wildermuth said. “At least one of the shots reached the inside of one of the homes, striking Tess Jauregui.”

Wildermuth said a short time later, it was determined by medics that Jauregui was deceased at the scene.
