Bobby Wayne Irvin, passed away on February 7, 2018, in Austin, TX after a short battle with cancer. Bobby was born on September 28, 1940 in Mesa, AZ to Clarence E. (HAP) Irvin (Died: October 29, 1992) and Agnes M. Irvin (Died: September 28, 1987) both of whom preceded him in death. Bobby was also preceded in death by his sister Mary Virginia (Irvin) Ward, and his brother Raymond Irvin. He is survived by one sister Betty J. (Irvin) Harless of Grand Prairie, TX and two brothers Kenneth Irvin and Glen Irvin of Roswell, NM.
Bobby is also survived by four children, Daughter – Robin L. Irvin of Trinidad, CO, three sons, Bradley W. Irvin of Leesville, LA, Bobby D. Irvin of Austin, TX and Mark Brandon Irvin of Oklahoma City, OK. Nine Grandchildren which includes his Granddaughter Danielle Irvin of Portales, NM who devoted herself to taking care of her Papa. His grandchildren also include Garrett J. Parsons of Roswell, NM, Chandler Hart of Lubbock, TX, Bradley Irvin of Woodville, TX, Christopher Irvin of Woodville, TX, Rylee Irvin of Oklahoma City, OK, Autrie Irvin of Oklahoma City, OK, Twins, Wyatt Irvin and Waylon Irvin of Sarasota, FL. He also has ten Great Grandchildren.
Bobby was raised and lived in Roswell and Dexter, NM his entire life. He was a former US Marine and disabled veteran who was so proud of the country he served. He was a friend to all and a loving father and grandfather (Papa) to his grandkids. Bobby never met a stranger and participated in many community events that supported 4-H, and FFA. Bobby loved horses, and enjoyed many years around area rack tracks, where he owned horses, trained horses, and enjoyed watching his sister ride to the winner circle on many occasions. He loved the mountains, where he fished, hunted and prospected for gold. He was an amazing man and will be missed by all.
Bobby will be cremated at his request and a private family service will be held at a later date in the Mountains of Capitan, New Mexico where he has requested his ashes be laid. The family requests that contributions be made on his behalf to the Christopher House Hospice Care Facility. 2820 East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Austin, Texas 78702.
