Henry Fuller, 91, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held at Fort Stanton, New Mexico, Friday, February 16, 2018, 2:00 PM. Celebrate Henry’s life by visiting www.andersonbethany.com to offer a memory or expression of sympathy for his family.
Henry was born in Copper Hill, Arizona, a small mining town near Globe, to Henry W Fuller and Barbara Garrett Fuller on March 23, 1926. At the age of 3, his mother died, and he and his father moved to Lordsburg, NM, where he attended grade school and high school. In 1944, he joined the Navy and served for 2 years. After being honorably discharged in 1946, he enrolled in college at what is now Western New Mexico University in Silver City, graduating in 1950 with a B.S. degree in Secondary Education. Unable to find a teaching position, he started working for Kennecott Copper Corp in Hurley, NM. He married Lilly Hines in 1955. In 1958, he went to work for the New Mexico Department of Labor and retired in Roswell after 30 years of employment. Henry was a past Exalted Ruler and a life member of the Silver City Elks Lodge.
Those left to cherish Henry’s memory are his son, Jim Fuller of Roswell; daughter, Joann LeJeune and husband, Larry; and grandchildren, Kayla and Jarrod of Roswell; and his dear friend, Rosemary Smith.
Preceding Henry in death were his wife, Lilly Fuller; both of his parents, Henry and Barbara Fuller; 4 half-brothers and 2 half-sisters.
