First day of early voting brings in 133

Educator Harun Williams smiles as he finishes his early voting process at City Hall around noon on Wednesday. Williams said he encourages his students to participate in local and state government. City Clerk Sharon Coll oversees the whole process from the voter signing in, to handing them a sticker to prove their participation. 133 people voted on the first day of early voting and Coll said there are more days ahead. Citizens can vote early at City Hall Monday through Friday, with the exception of Presidents’ Day, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until March 2. (Alison Penn Photo)
