Alfred Rodger East passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018, in Roswell, NM. Al was born on December 10, 1937, in Carlsbad, NM. A Memorial Celebration Service luncheon will be held at Eagles Club on Saturday, February 24, 2018, 1:00 PM. Bring along any photo’s, memories or stories to share with others. Al was a Military Veteran of twenty years and a Manager for CITGO Oil (Brewer Oil) for twenty years, He retired from the US Air Force as a flight engineer, in the Korean War. Al loved John Wayne, Elvis Presley, Biscuits & Gravy and his spoiled dog, Charlie. He was a member of Fraternal Order Eagles since 2007. Dad was a very kind man with a pure soul and an excellent sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
Those left to eternally treasure and cherish Al’s memory are two brothers: Jerry East of Texas, David East of Roswell; daughter, Connie East of Texas, sons: Tim East of Roswell, William East of Texas; stepdaughters: Mary Beth Hobbs of Roswell, Tracy Smith of California, Cherlye Harrison of Canada; grandchildren: Daniel East, Michael East, Kyle East and Terrance Garcia-East all of Texas; nine great-grandchildren; and precious pet, Charlie.
Preceding Al in death were his parents: Joyce Rodger East and Mattie Beatrice Tutor-East; two wives: Betty Lemmon-East (thirty years), Nancy Daniel-East (ten years); son, Eugene East; and one precious dog, Stacie.
Al was our “Miracle Man.”
