Jay was born into a sports loving family and brought his own love of sports to the family. From playing Baseball at Noon Optimist Park to basketball at the Yucca Recreation Center, to Berrendo Middle School, to Goddard High School, to Baseball at NMMI he never lost that love of competition. He met, played with and played against so many young people who became good friends. His proudest moment was playing on the New Mexico All-Star team his senior year at Goddard and playing in the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington. He was also a Lieutenant with the Roswell Fire Department until a few years ago. When he was diagnosed with MS, his whole world changed, no longer able to play, he had to be satisfied to just watch his lifelong passion. He was a funny and loving Son, Brother, Uncle and we will miss him so much. To all of his friends who have called and left messages, thank you for all of your kind words and memories.
Words cannot describe how much we will miss you Jay.
