The above photograph was shot from the eighth floor of the Petroleum Building at North Richardson Avenue and West First Street. Prominent are two of Roswell’s biggest office buildings, the “Wells Fargo building” on the left at 400 N. Pennsylvania Ave. and the Sunwest Centre at 500 N. Main St. The blustery weather made some interesting cloud patterns. (Timothy P. Howsare Photo)
During the windy afternoon, David Newman flies his kite in the empty lot near the Daily Record. Newman said he would like to open a kite shop in town to give the youth something to do. According to AccuWeather, Inc., Monday’s southwest winds were between 15 to 25 miles per hour. (Alison Penn Photo)
